His Gift
Parkinson's Disease was what my brother had
he was so afraid, distraught, he felt hopeless it was bad.
He lived with pain with fear
so much of him was gone.
He felt like he had lost his family, his friends
everything was wrong.
At times he felt so alone
wanting to die.
On the couch many times
he'd think and cry.
But Thanksgiving Day he realized he wanted to live
he did not want to die.
He wanted too see his grandchildren grow up
he had to try.
In the bedroom he said, Carol please pray
she was stunned not knowing what to say.
He and Carol sat on the bed
closing their eyes bowing their heads.
They were pleading and praying
with all their might.
Not sure if they
were even doing it right.
Lord you are the healer
you knew what needed done.
That night in the bedroom
Terry became your son.
They laid side by side together
holding hands in the night.
Prayers were sent to Heaven
God's love flowed through the light.
Lord you touched his body
such heat he felt inside.
Not understanding what was happening
so afraid that he might die.
The trembling the shaking
his pain it went away.
Something had happened
only he could say.
He jumped out of bed and walked
he spun around in a circle
something was going on.
This truly was a Miracle
what he had was gone.
He walked in and out of the room
smiling with tears in his eyes.
He started dancing and spinning
with joy how they cried.
He stayed up all night
saying how could I sleep.
With tears in his eyes
and emotions so deep.
He danced in the living room, he danced in the kitchen
staring at his hands and searching his soul.
Thanking God
for this Miracle.
He had to fall to the top
too finally see.
The Lord gave this beautiful Miracle
to show him what he was meant to be.
His Gift...

Mary this is a
wonderful story and a beautiful poem about this blessed event! How exciting
this all is for you and your family! |
How wonderful,
I've got goose bumps and all he decided was to pray. how important is this?
To surrender it all to God...praise You Lord for this great testimony so the
all may believe, you indeed are a living God. Thanks for the invite..this
has to be told to everyone that they too may believe. God Bless |

This is a true
story and I believe in miracles so I will be very interested to check it
out. Beautifully done a nice tribute to both your brother and God. God bless
you and your brother |
Mary Sue, this is
a wonderful story. I will go further and do as you suggested. God bless you
and your troubles as well. I wrote a poem "I believe I have forgotten how to
Pray", but the more I read on this site, the more I realize, we each pray in
our own way, and God is just fine with that |
This is such an
Amazing and Touching piece..
Tears in my Eyes as I Read!! Your Emotions
were Strong and very Deep..Yes, Miracles do
Happen when you Believe In The Great Man From
Above..God Bless.. |

What a wonderful
story.....God does indeed work miracles....Prayer is truly one of the paths
that leads straight to our holy father, and in this case, a miracle has been
performed.
A very nice job of writing.....Excellent in every way. Wonderful flow and
the imagery was as if, I had been standing there as a witness.
Thank you for sharing your poem. |
This is
absolutely beautiful! It tells that, yes, miracles DO happen. Like Jesus
healing the sick, He healed your brother, as though He was there beside him,
listening to His heartfelt prayer. He answered your brother's prayer,
immediately. It was in His time and your brother then believed. How
tremendous! No wonder he now has such a deep belief. Perhaps God was just
waiting for him to admit that God is real and with us always! Just as He is
with you, always. God Bless for this true, wonderfully written miracle |
Miracles is a
wonderful gift, this is a very powerful testimony. So often people will say
God does not answer prayers, but he
does and we need to recognize the gifts that He gives us each day. This is
great and very inspiring |
This is amazing!
Glory to God! I
am so happy for your brother and the family.
Yes, God is more than able, and I'm glad to
know that there are some, who still believe
in miracles. I have seen blind eyes open, and the lame, walk again. I just
wrote a
poem titled, "Miracles." I am so happy to
know that someone on this site knows someone
who has received a miracle from the Lord.
Amen! Thank you for sharing this precious
piece with us! God bless you & yours, |

Mary, it is good
to know that miracles still happen and the true-to-life miracle story of
your brother proves that, yes, miracles happen in people who believe. I
think more than anything, it's his faith that healed him, that made miracle
happen. This is a very inspiring story, it does not only make one believe in
miracles but its message is clear. Our faith in God will save us, and He is
the source of all miracles. |
